Kathmandu Business and Professional Women (BPW Kathmandu)

BPW Kathmandu is one of the active chapters of BPW Nepal. BPW Kathmandu was set up in April 1994 it is registered with Government of Nepal in December 1994 and affiliated with social welfare council in 2002.

Objectives of Kathmandu Business and Professional Women  
  • To develop a 'sisterhood' network of women; providing cross-training and support on a local and ultimately, national level;
  • To educate women at a grass roots level in the Kathmandu District, and to encourage them to improve their socio-economic status in the community;

  • To initiate skills development programs for the welfare of women at a grass roots level in the Kathmandu District (villages);
  • To help young women to enter the work force through appropriate professional and business training; and
  • To develop the professional skills of working women through various training programs and discussion forums.
