Business Development
  • Implementing Rural Development Projects targeted at women. For example, the "Economic Empowerment" project in Balambu VDC offers skilled training in Dhaka weaving and Mushroom cultivation .
  • Basic Training in Saving/ Credit, Accounting, Leadership Development, Communications ad marketing.
  • Launching women's literacy program in rural areas Balambu and Chapali Bhadrakali VDCs of Kathmandu district.
  • Operating cooperative of women (Sahamilan Saving and Credit Cooperative) in Kathmandu city area. Members of cooperative are operating businesses like tailoring, soap production, yogurt making and operating groceries shops by taking loans. .
  • Supervising and providing technical assistance to the Day Care Centre in Balaju Industrial District for the children of labour and staff.
  • Implementing project on 'Poverty Reduction through Socio-Economic Activities' in Chapali Bhadrakali Village, Kathmandu(Completed)..
  • Currently project on Reproductive Health/ Family Planning and Optimal Birth Spacing Interval(OBSI) is ongoing in Balambu village of Kathmandu district(Completed)..

-Awareness training on Social Development gender, leadership development, human right,OBSI and RH/FP.

  • Short trainings such as program on Floriculture, Gender and Development, VICKS (herbal medicine) preparation, candle making Costing/Pricing/NGO management have been conducted for the members and other women.

Professional Enhancement

  • Discussion forums for women including workshops, seminars and professional skills training to enhance role efficiency.
  • Conducting short trainings (2 days to 2 weeks) including Improvement of Economic Status through Micro enterprise Development in a Gender Perspective; Leadership Development; Community Development; Self Esteem Development; Gender and Development; Proposal and Report Writing; Management Tools and Tips by Style; Time and Stress Management; and a Chamber Management and Planning Workshop.
  • Conducting talk programs on women’s issues such as economic liberalization efforts, employment, education, legal issues, gender issues, natural resource management, sanitation and health and water.
  • Facilitating visits of professional and business women from Nepal and abroad, and initiating dialogues with other related organizations .
