Non
Formal education and Food Processing/ Preservation (Project
Five-0)
Jointly
conducted by BPW and Nepal University Women's Association
the Five-O-Project,is this project is offered trainings to
poor, young girls working as housemaids to enable them to
be literate and self reliant. Training provided so far has
included food processing and preservation, and sewing and
cutting too. Currently, non-formal education is running in
two villages for women at a grassroots level. The program
is of 6 months duration, and after completing literacy training
the participants will be provided with skill training on sewing
and cutting. The trainings provides them with literacy, numeric,
self esteem/self reliance and hygiene and sanitation as ………..
Besides
this short trainings like Sales technique, Marketing,
Accountancy, Gender, Leadership development, Capacity building
and other skill trainings have been provided to women of urban
areas. |
